The so-called “frisa” (or “friseddha, or “frisella”) is the product par excellence of Salento. It is similar to a “tarallo”, but bigger. It is made of durum wheat, cooked in the oven, then cut in half and then cooked again (Twice-baked).
The “frisa” is perfect to eat as a snack or if you prefer a light meal.
First you have to dunk it in cold water to make it softer. Then, season it with tomatoes, olive oil, oregano and a pinch of salt.
Taste it with our “Vizzino” preserves, too!
We suggest a glass of “Grècìa” rosé wine.
Pack of 500 gr.
